Role
As a Health and Physical Education teacher, you will plan, deliver and assess engaging lessons for Year 10–12 students, using a range of pedagogies and whole‐school instructional models, including explicit direct instruction. You will work collaboratively with the teaching team and the Teacher in Charge to support differentiated instruction, maintain positive relationships, and promote the school's values, vision and priorities.
Key responsibilities include:
* Planning and delivering high‐quality instruction that aligns with the Western Australian Curriculum and the school's improvement initiatives.
* Providing ongoing formative assessment and feedback to support student learning and progress.
* Contributing to the development of a reflective practice culture and the implementation of high‐impact teaching strategies.
* Engaging with students, parents, governing council and the wider community to promote student success.
Qualifications and experience:
* Current teaching accreditation and a strong commitment to professional development.
* Proven experience teaching secondary Health and Physical Education.
* Knowledge of the Western Australian Curriculum and experience teaching Year 11–12 courses is advantageous.
* Ability to plan and deliver differentiated instruction and assess student learning.
* Strong communication, interpersonal and leadership skills.
