Visiting Medical Officer – General Practice – Emergency – Lithgow
Location: Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District – Lithgow Hospital
Employment type: Permanent. Contract type: Zero hour. Term ends 30 June 2027.
Qualifications
* Fully registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
* Fellowship of the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (FACRRM) or the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) or equivalent specialist recognition, or at least 5 years of experience delivering and managing emergency care.
* Sound clinical knowledge and experience in Emergency Medicine, including participation in relevant quality assurance activities.
* High‐level interpersonal and communication skills and proven ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.
* Demonstrated commitment to teaching and supervising junior medical staff in accordance with contemporary best practice supervision standards.
* Professional behaviour modelling appropriate for a Senior Medical Practitioner.
* Familiarity with research concepts and commitment to support basic, applied or clinical research within the Department.
* Ability to abide by the NSW Health Code of Conduct and related statutory conditions.
