Role
The Education Assistant – Lead is responsible for leading, mentoring, coaching, and modelling good practice for other Education Assistants. This role is a key leadership position within the Learning Support team, working collaboratively with all staff and building effective relationships within the school community.
Responsibilities
* Design and implement documented plans to support positive student behaviour and improved educational outcomes.
* Provide solutions and support to teachers and education assistants, allocating resources, timetabling and relieving staff.
* Support and differentiate for students with a range of learning needs, including neuro‐diversity considerations such as autism spectrum disorder.
Qualifications & Experience
* Experience in resource allocation, specifically timetabling and relief staff scheduling.
* Desirable experience and understanding of neuro‐diversity and strategies to support students with diverse learning needs.
* Excellent communication, organisational and leadership skills in line with the Department of Education's Code of Conduct.
