Our client is a leading national commercial law firm with a highly regarded Property & Development practice. An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Associate-level lawyer to join their Sydney team and work alongside experienced senior practitioners on a broad range of sophisticated property and development matters.
This role is ideally suited to a lawyer with 2–4 years' post-admission experience in commercial and residential property law who is looking to further strengthen their technical capabilities within a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
You will work with an impressive and diverse client base, including major property developers, private entities, owners corporations and government bodies, with a strong focus on development, titling and transactional matters.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will be involved in:
* Advising developers throughout all stages of the development lifecycle
* Managing complex property transactions, including options, development agreements and joint ventures
* Preparing and negotiating off-the-plan sale contracts
* Drafting bespoke titling and governance documentation
* Advising owners corporations and community associations
* Supporting off-the-plan sales transactions
* Providing FIRB advice
About You
To be successful in this position, you will have:
* Strong knowledge of NSW conveyancing and transactional property matters
* Experience advising on off-the-plan contracts, stamp duty, GST and vendor disclosure obligations
* Experience with put and call option agreements, nomination agreements and development agreements
* Strong drafting, negotiation and stakeholder management skills
* Proficiency with PEXA and familiarity with strata, stratum and community title schemes
