Your new role is to support and promote a strong safety culture across the organisation by assisting with Work Health and Safety systems, compliance, training, audits and workplace risk management. You will work collaboratively with management, employees and contractors to help create a safe, healthy and productive working environment across all Shire operations and worksites.
What you'll need to succeed
* Previous experience in a Work Health and Safety role
* Sound knowledge of Work Health and Safety legislation and practices
* Experience conducting audits, inspections, risk assessments and incident investigations
* Strong organisational, administrative and report preparation skills
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
* Effective communication, problem solving and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a team environment
* Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality
* Previous Local Government experience (desirable)

* Salary package range of $81,421 - $84,870 per annum dependent on qualifications and experience
