About Us
We are seeking qualified civil engineers to deliver innovative infrastructure solutions that improve everyday life across the Bundaberg Region.
To succeed in these roles, you will need:
* A degree in Civil Engineering, with eligibility for or current registration as a Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ). You must understand the importance of professional accountability and be committed to upholding engineering standards that protect public safety and deliver long-term value.
* Experience in civil infrastructure design, ideally within local government or consulting environments. You should be familiar with the challenges of brownfield sites and able to apply sound engineering judgement to develop fit-for-purpose solutions that balance compliance, constructability, and community needs.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex design issues and make informed decisions. You should be comfortable navigating ambiguity and able to justify departures from standard design criteria when needed, always with safety and practicality in mind.
* Proficiency in industry-standard design tools, including 12D, AutoCAD, GIS platforms (ArcGIS, MapInfo), and stormwater modelling software (XP SWMM, TUFLOW, Rafts). You should be adaptable to new technologies and committed to continuous learning to improve design outcomes.
* A collaborative mindset, where communication, respect, and innovation are key. You should be proactive in sharing knowledge, mentoring others, and contributing to the development of design standards and procedures that support best practice across the organisation.
