Service & Repair Technician - Capital Medical Devices
Join a global medical technology organisation committed to delivering high-quality recovery and rehabilitation solutions to clinicians, healthcare providers, and patients worldwide. Within their ANZ operations team, they are looking for a Repair & Service Technician to manage service delivery, aftersales support, and technical repairs across the region.
Reporting locally to the Operations Manager and working closely with an international service leader, you’ll ensure customers receive fast, accurate and compliant service support while continuously improving the aftersales offering.
This position is full-time at their office warehouse based in the Northern Beaches region.
Key responsibilities
- Perform mechanical and electrical repairs, failure finding and functional testing on returned medical devices.
- Manage internal repair workflows to meet KPIs, including repair turnaround times, warranty accuracy, and loaner fleet management.
- Improve, promote and propose extended warranty, maintenance contracts to develop the activities in the region.
- Cooperate with the Customer Service team to provide technical support by telephone or email.
- Coordinate shipments, receiving activities, cleaning, testing and tracking of loan devices and spare parts.
- Support inventory planning, replenishment and cycle counts in collaboration with the operations and inventory teams.
What you will bring
- Degree or technical qualification in Electrical, Electronic or Biomedical Engineering
- Experience troubleshooting and repairing medical equipment preferred, or technical or electromechanical equipment also highly regarded
- Familiarity with SAP and service management or ticketing systems (Oracle / Freshdesk) highly regarded.
- Strong diagnostic, testing and troubleshooting capability.
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities and respond with urgency.
- Solid work ethic, and ability to work in office full time
