Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee transport, warehousing, and depot operations, ensuring safe, efficient, and on‐time delivery of freight across regional and interstate networks.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee daily transport, warehousing, and depot operations
* Manage drivers, dispatch, fleet coordinators, and warehouse teams
* Ensure on‐time delivery performance, especially for refrigerated freight
* Monitor routes, fuel usage, and operational efficiency
* Coordinate interstate and regional freight movements
* Manage customer accounts and service performance
* Ensure compliance with WHS, Heavy Vehicle Regulations, and Chain of Responsibility (CoR)
* Handle operational escalations (delays, breakdowns, freight issues)
* Work with depot and maintenance teams to optimise fleet performance
* Drive continuous improvement in logistics and service delivery
What We're Looking For
* Experience in logistics, transport, or supply chain operations
* Robust leadership and people management skills
* Solid understanding of freight compliance and WHS standards
* Ability to manage KPIs, budgets, and operational performance
* Strong problem‐solving and decision‐making ability under pressure
* Excellent communication and coordination skills
