A large ASX listed group is seeking an experienced Rewards & Benefits Manager to design, govern and deliver a contemporary, market competitive reward and benefits framework that supports our business strategy, workforce needs and performance culture.
This is a senior enterprise role leading reward strategy, governance and execution across multiple operating companies, ensuring consistency, compliance and market alignment across various jurisdictions. You will partner with senior executives and HR leaders to shape how we attract, retain and reward talent across one of the region's largest and most diverse workforces.
The Role
Reporting to senior HR leadership, you will own the enterprise reward agenda, from strategy and governance through to annual cycles, incentive design, benefits management and pay equity. You will lead a specialist team and act as a trusted advisor to executives across the group.
Key Responsibilities Reward Strategy & Framework
* Establish and deliver a modern, market competitive rewards and benefits framework aligned to the group's business and workforce strategy
* Lead the implementation of reward strategies that drive engagement, retention and performance
* Provide strategic advice to senior leaders on remuneration positioning, offers, retention strategies and market trends
* Translate emerging reward trends and best practice into pragmatic, commercially sound solutions
Remuneration Governance
* Own remuneration governance, including policies, delegations, controls and decision making frameworks
* Ensure sound governance, risk management and compliance across all remuneration activities
* Partner with Legal, Finance, Risk and People & Culture to maintain robust controls and audit readiness
Role Architecture & Job Evaluation
* Govern the role architecture framework, including job families, levels and job evaluation methodology
* Ensure consistency and integrity of role design across operating companies
* Maintain the integrity of pay structures, ranges and career frameworks
Annual Remuneration & Incentive Cycles
* Lead the annual remuneration and bonus review cycle end to end, including market benchmarking and insights, financial modelling and scenario planning, governance and approvals, and delivery and execution
* Design, govern and administer short term and long term incentive plans across eligible employee populations
* Prepare board and executive level reporting and recommendations
Benefits Management
* Own and continuously improve employee benefits programs, including vendor selection, performance management and cost optimisation
* Ensure benefits offerings remain contemporary, valued by employees and aligned to total reward principles
Equity & Compliance
* Lead gender equity and pay equity obligations across relevant jurisdictions, including WGEA reporting and related obligations
* Support regulatory reporting, audits and remediation activity as required
* Stay ahead of legislative change and emerging compliance requirements
Leadership & Team Management
* Lead the Reward & Benefits team, delivering both strategic outcomes and high quality operational support
* Provide governance and expert guidance to operating companies and embedded HR partners
* Build specialist capability across the function and develop reward talent
What You'll Bring
* Extensive experience leading reward and benefits in complex, multi entity or matrixed organisations
* Proven ability to design and implement enterprise wide reward frameworks at scale
* Strong track record delivering annual remuneration reviews, short and long term incentive design and remuneration governance
* Demonstrated expertise in role architecture, job evaluation methodologies (Mercer, Korn Ferry/Hay, WTW or similar) and pay structure design
* Experience managing employee benefits programs and external vendor relationships
* Working knowledge of gender equity and pay equity requirements across multiple jurisdictions, including WGEA reporting
* Exposure to ASX listed remuneration governance, executive reward and disclosure requirements
* Strong commercial and business acumen with the ability to translate strategy into execution
* Credible advisor to senior leaders and executives, with a strong governance mindset
* Hands on leader capable of setting direction, coaching teams and building specialist capability
* Tertiary qualifications in HR, Business, Commerce, Finance or a related discipline
