Nurse Unit Manager Inpatient Services
Darwin Private Hospital, Healthscope – Full‑time, Monday to Friday
$114,908 per annum + super + allowance
Relocation assistance available.
- Work closely with Clinical Nurses and Educators as part of the Senior Leadership Team
- Provide operational direction for DPH inpatient services to ensure efficient and effective management and coordinate the delivery of nursing care that is evidence based.
- Accountable and responsible for the effective daily management of human, financial and material resources.
- Undertake direct patient care as required, providing guidance and support to less experienced members of the nursing team.
About Us: Darwin Private Hospital is the only provider of private hospital services in the Northern Territory. It is part of the Healthscope Group of Hospitals, a licensed 122‑bed hospital providing a broad range of services including General Surgery, Orthopaedics, Gynaecology, Ophthalmology, Plastic and Reconstructive, Urology, Gastroenterology, ENT and Cardiac Catheter Laboratory. Since February 2021, it has operated an 18‑bed inpatient Mental Health & AoD Unit, The Darwin Clinic, and a dedicated Day Rehabilitation Programme.

Salary: Based on years of relevant registered nursing experience, aligned with the current Healthscope and the Darwin Private Hospital – Nurses and Midwives – Enterprise Agreement 2021‑2024.
- Current Registration with AHPRA
- Working with Children check
- Nursing experience greater than 5 years
- Experience in the Acute setting
- Compliance with ACQSHC National standards
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- A strong commitment to developing in a management role
- A commitment to a high standard of clinical and customer focused care
- Ability to work cohesively within a team environment
- Proven time management and prioritisation skills
- Demonstrate a sound knowledge base in labour management
- Demonstrated HR management experience
Desirable Criteria:
- Previous experience at NUM level
- A Post Graduate or Management degree or working towards
