As a result, we require a Systems Administrator to join our team on a Permanent full-time capacity.
About the Role:
The role of a 'System Administrator involves Install, configure and maintain servers, networks and other IT infrastructure.
Location: Bowen Hills, Qld
Salary: $80, Superannuation
The successful applicant will be required to:
* Degree in IT or equivalent
* 3+ years of experience
* A proven understanding of business concepts and processes
* General familiarity with Windows administration, Microsoft Office suit
* Demonstrated experience in a complex systems administration role
* Install, configure, and maintain servers, networks, and other IT infrastructure components.
* Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal operation.
* Apply system updates, patches, and configuration changes to ensure systems remain secure and current.
* Monitor and complete performance analysis of client's infrastructure.
* Provide feedback to clients, the Service Management and Application Management teams regarding the status of problems and service requests to ensure that agreed service levels and client service standards are achieved.
* Implement security measures to safeguard sensitive data and protect against cyber threats.
* Liaise effectively with clients, multi-disciplinary technology groups and external stakeholders on enterprise infrastructure matters.
* Research and provide advice in the continuous improvement of existing IT infrastructure and evaluation of new and emerging technologies.
* Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls.
* Perform regular backups and disaster recovery operations.
* Manage incidents and problem resolution activities following organisational protocols and service levels.
* Work with the customer Identify capabilities, practices and resources to provide effective product support and technical issue resolution.
* Convey complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
Skills and Experience:
* Familiarity with networking concepts and protocols (CISCO,TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.)
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* A proactive mindset with a willingness to upskill and adapt in a dynamic IT landscap
