Job Title: Plumber Level 4 (Permanent, Full Time)
Location: Armidale Hospital
Hours Per Week: 38
Salary: $74,384 – $74,384 per annum + 12% Super + Salary Packaging

About the Role
The Plumber is responsible for maintaining and repairing hospital plumbing and hydraulic systems to ensure safe, reliable, and compliant operations with minimal disruption to clinical services. Reporting to the Manager – Maintenance and Fleet, you will work across a variety of hospital and facility systems while collaborating closely with other trades, contractors, and healthcare staff.
Key Responsibilities
* Perform preventative and reactive maintenance on water, drainage, and gas systems
* Diagnose faults and complete plumbing repairs and installations
* Ensure all work complies with Australian Standards, WHS requirements, and infection control procedures
* Respond promptly to urgent maintenance issues
* Assist with minor projects and facility upgrades
* Maintain accurate records using maintenance management systems
* Liaise effectively with hospital staff, contractors, and other trades
Qualifications
* Relevant trade certificate in plumbing, drainer and gas fitter or equivalent (Cert III in Plumbing or equivalent)
* Current NSW Plumbing Licence or ability to obtain prior to commencement
* Construction White Card
* Current driver's licence and ability to travel for work purposes
* Obtained or willingness to obtain thermostatic mixing valve and backflow prevention certificates

About the Team
You will be part of a small, collaborative maintenance team consisting of skilled electricians, a carpenter, hospital assistants and administrative support staff. Together the team delivers responsive maintenance and infrastructure support services across multiple healthcare sites to ensure facilities remain safe, compliant and operational for staff, patients and the wider community.
