Disability Support Worker Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Disability Support Worker to join our dedicated team. As a key member of our team, you will provide support to individuals with disabilities to live as independently as possible.
Job Responsibilities
* Provide personal care assistance where required to meet the individual needs of our clients.
* Help individuals develop daily skills such as housekeeping, social skills, and budgeting.
* Assist with meal planning, cooking, light cleaning, and facilitating community connections.
* Support individuals during daily activities such as outings and appointments.
* Maintain a connection between clients and their family, friends, and services.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) is advantageous.
* Previous experience working in a SIL environment or supporting people with complex disabilities and Dementia will be highly regarded.
* Flexibility to work various shifts including days, evenings, early mornings, weekends, and sleepovers.
* Ability to meet physical requirements for manual handling tasks.
* Commitment to privacy and confidentiality.
* Good computer skills and experience using Word, Excel, and Outlook.
