Maintenance Technician
Location: Alexandria, NSW
Salary: $112,000 plus super
Employment Type: Full Time
Reporting to: Engineering Manager
About the Role
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for supporting production through the maintenance and repair of plant equipment, minimising downtime, improving processes, and ensuring operations run safely and efficiently.
What You'll Need
* Mechanical and/or Electrical trade qualification
* Proven experience in preventative maintenance, breakdown repairs, and fault finding
* Background within a manufacturing or industrial environment
* Ability to read technical drawings and equipment manuals
* Strong understanding of safe work systems and procedures
* Current driver's licence
* Forklift and boiler licences highly regarded
Key Duties
* Carry out preventative maintenance to keep equipment operating efficiently
* Respond to breakdowns and fault-find to minimise downtime
* Support plant start-up and shut-down, including boiler operations
* Maintain service records, maintenance logs, and spare parts stock
* Assist with Lean Manufacturing and 5S improvement initiatives
* Complete risk assessments and follow safe work procedures
* Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant work environment
* Work closely with production teams to resolve machinery issues
* Support and mentor apprentices or junior team members
