About the role
Working locally, state-wide, and nationally, this role works across Community Mobilisation and State Programs Emergency Services to build organisational capability to innovate, attract, engage and retain volunteers and members and enhance the readiness, capability, and engagement of Victorian Emergency Services volunteers. This position focuses on building strong member and volunteer engagement, providing support in emergency operations, and contributing to strengthen relationships and communications across sectors.
This role will work across Emergency Services and Community Mobilisation 3 days and 2 days respectively
You will bring
* Demonstrated sound technical knowledge and expertise in Emergency services or working in volunteering space
* Ability to work under general direction from senior employees within clear objectives and budget constraints and work with and support teams and people from diverse backgrounds and create a collaborative working environment
* Ability to manage time, set priorities, plan and organise their own work and that of lower classified staff and/or volunteers
* Sound analytical skills and demonstrated ability to assess, evaluate and solve problems generally found in policies and practices
* Sound collaboration and communication skills to effectively engage with volunteers and stakeholders and people at all levels and from diverse backgrounds.
Mandatory Requirements
A clearance to work with Children and a current Driver's License is required for this role.
