We are looking for an experienced and commercially minded Training and Business Development Manager to lead the growth and success of the William Adams Institute of Training (WAIT). This is a pivotal leadership role focused on building technical capability across our workforce and customer base, while driving WAIT into a high-performing and profitable division.
Responsibilities
* Lead a team of Trainers with coaching and development emphasis.
* Drive the growth and profitability of the William Adams Institute of Training (WAIT).
* Partner with internal and external stakeholders to deliver tailored learning and capability solutions.
* Identify workforce skill gaps and implement effective training programs and learning initiatives.
* Oversee the Apprentice Program, including onboarding, development, stakeholder engagement and TAFE relationships.
* Manage training systems, online learning content and reporting requirements.
* Ensure RTO compliance and maintain accreditation standards.
* Build strong relationships with customers, Caterpillar and training partners to maximise business opportunities.
Qualifications
* Proven leadership experience with the ability to build and drive high performing teams.
* Strong commercial acumen and experience growing business units or service offerings.
* Exceptional stakeholder engagement and relationship building capability.
* Experience identifying opportunities and converting them into realised revenue.
* Strong understanding of learning principles, instructional design and capability development.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* The ability to work strategically while remaining hands on operationally.
* Technical industry experience and/or RTO experience will be highly regarded.
* Certificate IV in Training & Assessment or relevant technical trade qualification preferred.
