This role involves overseeing the day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and general ledger management. The successful candidate will prepare monthly and annual financial reports, budgets, and forecasts, as well as manage tax compliance, BAS, FBT, and other statutory reporting requirements.

The Senior Accountant will also support project costing and provide financial analysis for operational and capital expenditure, collaborating with department heads to improve cost control and operational efficiency. Additionally, they will maintain and improve internal controls and financial systems, liaising with external auditors, banks, and tax agents.

To be successful in this role, candidates should have a strong understanding of cost accounting, inventory management, and job/project costing, as well as proficiency in accounting software (e.g., MYOB or ERP systems) and Microsoft Excel. Excellent attention to detail, analytical thinking, and communication skills are essential.
