Your Role at St John of God Midland Hospital

St John of God Midland Hospital is looking for passionate and motivated Grade 1 Physiotherapists to join our recruitment pool for upcoming full‑time and part‑time fixed‑term opportunities, with the potential to move into a permanent role. Right now, an exciting full‑time, six‑month fixed‑term position is available to cover a secondment, providing an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience in a supportive and dynamic team.

As part of our multi‑disciplinary team, you will provide high‑quality, evidence‑based physiotherapy care to our clients and patients, helping them achieve the best possible outcomes. You will be supported by experienced colleagues and encouraged to continue developing your clinical skills and professional growth.

The Position

- Provide high‑quality evidence‑based physiotherapy assessments and treatments for all patients/clients, including hydrotherapy treatments where applicable.
- Work with patients to develop appropriate physiotherapy treatment goals and plans.
- Establish and maintain direct working relationships with multi‑disciplinary colleagues and internal/external customers, and actively participate in team meetings.
- Use evidence‑based patient outcome measures and patient feedback satisfaction measures as part of quality assurance activities.
- Participate in the physiotherapy department weekend roster if required.
- Assist with education and training programs for students as requested.
- Complete appropriate administrative duties for each session, liaising with the office administration team, reporting statistical data, and maintaining clinical documentation.
- Attend staff meetings and present at professional development sessions as required.
- Delegate to other staff members where appropriate (e.g., Allied Health Assistants or students).
- Maintain and strengthen own professional knowledge and expertise, including maintaining a continuing professional development portfolio.

To be successful, you will hold current registration with the Physiotherapy Board of Australia (AHPRA) and have experience providing high‑quality physiotherapy services across relevant clinical settings, including the delivery of hydrotherapy treatments.

You will also demonstrate strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with clients, colleagues, and other health professionals. A proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a multi‑disciplinary team will be key to your success in this role.

- Salary: $85,508 to $120,255 per annum, plus 12% superannuation.
