About the Role
As a Logistics/Stores Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of receipting incoming goods and picking and packing of meals for external distribution. Working in a dynamic environment you will be responsible for meeting the high demand of meals for external site requirements. Your attention to detail and adherence to safe work practices will be essential in delivering high-quality food services, while following all relevant legislation and guidelines.
In this role, you'll have the opportunity to contribute to a team focused on providing exceptional care through food services. You'll ensure meals are handled safely and to standard, meeting the external sites requirements of each customer. Rotating roster key details:
- Roster: 3 days on, 3 days off - six-week repeating cycle
- Hours: 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM
About You
You are a motivated and dependable team member who brings strong communication skills, a commitment to quality service, and the ability to work efficiently in a busy food service environment. Your attention to detail, reliability, and customer-focused approach ensure that meals are prepared and delivered safely, accurately and on time.
- Educational/Vocational Qualifications – No formal qualifications required.
- Personal Abilities/Aptitudes/Skills – Solid verbal and written communication skills, numeracy, ability to manage time pressures, work with dexterity, follow direction, provide excellent customer service, work effectively in a team, and organise and prioritise tasks within set timelines.
- Experience – Experience working in a large catering or food-service environment, with exposure to high-volume meal preparation and service.
- Knowledge – Understanding of Secure Food Australia Standards, the Work Health and Safety Act and its application, and safe manual handling practices within a food service setting.
