Assistant Product Manager – Home Buying Retail Banking Services (RBS) is the public face of CommBank, supporting more than 10 million personal and small business customers. Within RBS, the Home Buying domain delivers sustainable home lending outcomes while maintaining strong customer experience, product integrity and regulatory compliance. This role suits an Assistant Product Manager who is building foundational Product Management capability and looking to develop within a complex, regulated environment. See yourself in the team This role sits within the Channel Engagement & Specialised Product Crew, in the Referral Source Program (RSP) Governance & Transformation team. RSP enables third‑party referral partners to connect customers with CommBank home lending solutions. The team provides end‑to‑end oversight of the Referral Source Program, covering program design, governance frameworks, regulatory uplift, risk management and continuous improvement across the lifecycle. As an Assistant Product Manager, you will support Product Managers and Senior Product Managers in delivering outcomes across the RSP, while developing your Product Management skills. Do work that matters Within RSP Governance & Transformation, the team operates in a structured, high‑scrutiny environment focused on strengthening governance and product integrity. You will contribute to delivery by supporting product activities, maintaining artefacts and helping translate strategy into well‑structured execution. You will build your understanding of how products are governed, delivered and improved in a regulated financial services environment. Key responsibilities Report to the Chapter Lead, Product Management Support Product Managers and Senior Product Managers in delivering initiatives within the RSP roadmap Assist in maintaining safe, compliant products in line with Product Design and Distribution Obligations Support the preparation and maintenance of product artefacts, controls and documentation Assist with translating strategy into backlog items and delivery tasks Coordinate with Line 1 Risk, Line 2 Compliance, Legal, Operations and Distribution teams Help identify and escalate risks, issues and dependencies Contribute to tracking delivery progress and maintaining governance artefacts Build understanding of Product Management practices, risk and governance We’re interested in hearing from people who have Experience in product, project, operations or a related role, or a strong interest in Product Management Strong organisational skills and attention to detail Ability to work in structured, regulated environments Clear written and verbal communication skills An interest in financial services, governance and risk A proactive mindset with a willingness to learn and develop Apply now and take the next step in building your Product Management career within Home Buying at CommBank.
