About the Role – Defence Fuel Installation Operator (DFI Operator)
The role supports multiple fuel installation sites around the region, primarily based at Townsville RAAF Base. Candidates must live in or be willing to relocate near Townsville.
Responsibilities
* Support the defence fuel network across Australia, ensuring operational excellence and reliability.
* Contribute directly to the success of a program essential to national defence capability.
* Work alongside industry experts, defence partners, and UGL's outstanding teams.
DFI Operator Specific Responsibilities
* Report to the Operating Agent (OA) and perform a range of operational and functional tasks across the installation.
* Ensure the safe, compliant operation and management of aviation and/or ground fuel installations.
* Oversee fuel quality, compliance, quantity and availability, including related systems and processes.
* Maintain technical integrity of fuel through quality control sampling and testing.
* Bring experience from similar environments fuel or other high‐risk/hazardous processing industries.

* Valid driver's licence.
* Ability to obtain appropriate defence security clearance.
