About the Role
As the Performing Arts Teacher, you will plan and deliver learning experiences that support student confidence, communication and engagement through the arts. You'll work within established whole-school practices and collaborate closely with education support and the broader team to create consistent, supportive learning environments.
Full time or Part Time flexibility can be discussed depending on candidate experience and availability.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan, prepare and deliver engaging Performing Arts lessons tailored to a range of additional learning needs
* Establish safe, predictable routines and a positive classroom culture
* Use proactive strategies to support students who may display challenging behaviours
* Differentiate learning and provide timely feedback aligned to individual goals
* Collaborate with colleagues to support student wellbeing, engagement and learning progress
* Contribute to team planning and consistent whole-school practices
You will have
* Tertiary qualifications in Education (and Performing Arts, or strong Performing Arts teaching experience)
* Current or pending VIT registration
* Qualification in Special Education highly regarded
* Demonstrated experience in specialist education and/or working with students with additional needs
* Confidence working in complex learning environments
