THE ROLE
As we grow, an opportunity has become available for a motivated Fire Sprinkler Fitter to join our team in a full-time capacity. In this position, you will report to the Project Manager and Service Manager, carrying out wet fire system maintenance as per AS1851-2012, wet fire system installations as per AS2118.1:2017.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Perform inspection, testing, and maintenance of wet fire systems in accordance with AS1851-2012 and relevant Australian Standards.
* Install, repair, and modify sprinkler systems, hydrants, hose reels, valves, and associated pipework.
* Conduct hydrant and sprinkler flow testing to ensure system performance and compliance.
* Diagnose faults and carry out troubleshooting, testing, and repairs on fire protection systems.
* Complete accurate service reports, test sheets, and compliance documentation on site.
* Liaise professionally with clients, site representatives, and other trades during service and installation works.
* Ensure all work complies with company procedures, safety requirements, and Australian Standards.
* Assist with system commissioning, upgrades, and installations as required.
* Maintain tools, equipment, and service vehicles to a high standard.
* Identify and report system defects, compliance issues, and potential risks.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
* Proven field service experience in fire sprinkler or wet fire systems.
* Ability to troubleshoot, test, and repair fire protection systems.
* Experience conducting hydrant and sprinkler flow testing.
* Strong communication and customer service skills.
* Ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively.
* Strong time management and organisational skills.
* Ability to complete accurate service documentation and reports.
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA
* Current Driver's Licence.
* Current Police Check (or willingness to obtain).
* Valid Blue/White Card.
* Sprinkler Fitter / Plumbing Licence (preferred).
* Sound knowledge of Australian Standards for installation and testing of fire systems.
* Reliable, punctual, and professional with a strong work ethic.
