Geotech is one of Acciona's Specialist Businesses with over fifty years of history in delivering ground engineering solutions to the Australian construction market. While founded in Melbourne, its reach is now truly national and it brings an exceptional degree of design and delivery expertise to both the Acciona regional businesses as well as the wider construction market. Geotech's capabilities and expertise extends to all aspects of ground engineering including foundation and retention piling, ground improvement, anchoring, and support in both infrastructure and building markets.

The Opportunity

As the Regional Manager, Northern for Geotech you will report directly to the Chief Operations Manager and will be a critical member of Geotech's Senior Leadership Team. In this role, you will be the key contact and representative for Geotech's largest growth sector and will require close management of operations and relationships with Acciona and the wider market in the region. This is a senior role requiring demonstrated leadership and mentoring capabilities to oversee multiple project sites within the region with responsibility for ensuring profitability of operations as well as visual leadership of the safety and operational culture of the business. You will manage key deliverables in the region including all estimating and project operations with support functions provided centrally and you will be responsible for coordinating resources ensuring compliance with Acciona policies and regulations. In this role you will be critical to developing strategic planning, overall budget management, and maintaining high standards of project delivery and client satisfaction.

Key Responsbilities

* Managing project teams, coordinating resources, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
* Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and regulatory bodies, resolve site issues.
* Analyse new opportunities that align with the organisational business strategy, evaluate direct costs to ensure they are accurate and achievable.
* Facilitate transitions between pre-contract stage to project delivery, managing quantity tracking throughout the design phase to enable accurate tracking of budget costs.
* Make decisions on accepting projects based on business cases and ensure decisions consider interdependence between projects.
* Ensure that project risks are managed effectively, and appropriate strategies are in place to respond to variances.
* Ensure construction meets the budget and constructability requirements.
* Direct the development of effective systems for establishing and measuring accountabilities and evaluate ongoing effectiveness.
* Inspire a culture that respects the obligation to manage public monies and other resources responsibly and with the highest standards of probit.
* Analyse usage of DE tools in sharing information and collaborating during design processes, promote DE technologies and application in the field and supporting site personnel.

Qualfications and Competencies

* Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or similar.
* 10+ years' experience in a Project Manager or similar leadership role within the infrastructure environment.
* Previous experience in coaching and mentoring providing direction to employees and workforce.
* Demonstrated behaviour in reducing costs and meeting budgets and understanding operational application of all the Project standards.
* Working knowledge of contractual requirements and legislation relevant to the project.

Desired Skills and Experience

Engineering graduate with 10+ years in infrastructure, leading teams, controlling costs, ensuring compliance, and delivering construction programs.
