The Opportunity:
As part of the wider Finance and South Bank Corporation team, the Senior Financial Planning Analyst will play a lead role in enhancing reporting and analytics and will play a lead role in the business partnering program at SBC.
You will be a key member within the Finance team, supporting the continued optimization of the finance system Dynamics 365 with a focus on reporting, analysis, budgeting and forecasting requirements.
The key deliverable of the position will be to continue to enhance the FP&A function across the organisation.
Key responsibilities will include:
* Reporting, analysis, budgeting and forecasting requirements in the Dynamic 365 suite of software
* Build reporting templates to support the Corporation in meeting internal, statutory and government reporting requirements
* Assist the Financial Controller in the Finance Business Partnering program
* Develop and implement high quality, relevant financial reporting solutions, dashboards and cyclical forecasting for the Board and Internal Management
* Creating accurate and informative financial models to support with medium and long-term decision making
About you:
You will be an experienced Finance Analyst, Senior Management Accountant or Finance Business Partner with demonstrable experience in system optimisation, financial reporting and analysis, budgeting and forecasting as well as business partnering.
Your qualifications and experience:
* At least 5 years' experience in senior management accounting or financial analysis focused roles
* A relevant degree in Accounting or Commerce with a CA, CPA or CIMA qualification highly regarded
* Prior experience developing and building reporting frameworks and developing efficient & effective processes
* Extensive skills in report writing, KPI and metric building as well as building dashboards for use by non-finance stakeholders.
* Strong modelling skills and advanced Excel capability
* Experience in reporting tools and ERP systems - ideally Microsoft Business Central Dynamics 365, Jet Reports and PowerBI
* A collaborative mindset with the ability to influence stakeholders and work in a fast paced, creative environment
