Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead and oversee the engineering function within a dynamic, national-scale process engineering, design and construction organisation serving the mining and mineral processing sectors.
This is a key leadership role that requires a strategic thinker with excellent technical knowledge and strong management skills.
About You
* You will be responsible for leading a team of engineers to deliver design, procurement support, construction and commissioning phases of mining/mineral processing projects.
* You will develop and maintain engineering work-plans, schedules, budgets and resource allocation to achieve timely, cost-effective delivery while maintaining high quality and safety standards.
* You will ensure engineering deliverables are compliant with internal policy frameworks and client requirements.
* You will collaborate with project management, procurement, operations and site teams to ensure integration of engineering scope with overall project objectives, risk mitigation, and constructability.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead and manage the engineering team to deliver design, procurement support, construction and commissioning phases of mining/mineral processing projects.
2. Develop and maintain engineering work-plans, schedules, budgets and resource allocation to achieve timely, cost-effective delivery while maintaining high quality and safety standards.
3. Ensure engineering deliverables are compliant with internal policy frameworks and client requirements.
4. Collaborate with project management, procurement, operations and site teams to ensure integration of engineering scope with overall project objectives, risk mitigation, and constructability.
5. Provide technical governance: reviewing and approving engineering designs, checking calculations, enforcing standards, driving continuous improvement in engineering practices and the use of appropriate technologies.
6. Mentor, coach and develop engineering personnel, building capability, promoting a culture of accountability, innovation, teamwork and safety.
7. Facilitate interface management between disciplines, subcontractors, suppliers, and external stakeholders to ensure seamless delivery.
8. Drive continuous improvement initiatives in engineering processes, workflows, tools and systems to enhance productivity, reliability and value.
