About this opportunity
The primary purpose of the Quality Manager is to work with peers in Production, Sales, Maintenance, Logistics and HSES teams, to implement and maintain appropriate quality systems throughout the manufacturing and sales processes on site to meet industry standards including EFSA & FDA requirements, and FSSC 22000 certification requirements.
The role is also responsible for working with the Joint Venture partners to ensure specifications are agreed and documented, service level agreements are followed, and quality processes are documented and consistently adhered to.
Your key responsibilities will be to:
* Work with the Divisional Quality Assurance Manager to implement and maintain robust quality management systems (QMS) in accordance with relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards.
* Ensure all manufacturing activities comply with applicable regulatory requirements, industry standards, and company policies.
* Lead quality improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, process efficiency, and customer satisfaction. Implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs), conduct root cause analysis, and drive continuous improvement projects.
* Oversee quality assurance activities, including incoming materials inspection, in-process monitoring, and final product testing.
* Responsible for managing supplier quality performance and ensuring that external suppliers meet quality requirements.
* Manages the investigation and resolution of customer complaints related to product quality issues.
* Prepare quality reports, presentations, and updates to keep stakeholders informed of quality-related matters and progress towards quality objectives.
Your skills and experience
To be successful in this role, you’ll have:
* Strong understanding of quality management principles, methodologies, and tools.
* Knowledge of FSSC 22000 certification requirements.
* Understanding of EFSA & FDA requirements.
* Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards relevant to the organization's products or services.
* Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams.
* Proven track record of driving continuous improvement and achieving results.
Qualifications
* Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality management roles, preferably in a manufacturing or regulated industry.
* Bachelor's degree in engineering, quality management, or a related field.
* Certification in quality management (e.g., ASQ Certified Quality Auditor, Certified Quality Engineer) preferred.
* Proficiency in MS Office Suite and other relevant software applications.
