Employment Type: Permanent Part Time. Hours: 0.2 FTE (16hrs per fortnight). Location: Mercy Care Centre, Young NSW.
Responsibilities
* Coordinate and implement the quality program throughout all areas of the service.
* Coordinate improvement in patient care and safety whilst providing leadership, support and training to all staff in the quality system.
* Develop, implement, educate and evaluate effective Infection Control standards – acting as a role model providing leadership and clinical practice.
* Operate within a multidisciplinary team to ensure a highly responsive and flexible service to both internal and external health care providers.
Qualifications
* Registered Nurse with registration with APHRA.
* Postgraduate qualification in or working towards qualification in Infection Control or equivalent (highly desirable).
* Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment.
* Accredited Nurse Immuniser Certificate.
* Excellent clinical, time management, organisational and communication skills, with the ability to adapt and problem solve.
* A compassionate, flexible and positive approach to effective patient care and management.
* The ability to nurture friendly, respectful relationships and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
Requirements
* Current Police Record Check and Working with Children Check.
* Proof of current influenza vaccination and other vaccination status consistent with public health orders.
