Working closely with the Environmental Field Technician & Senior Environment Advisors, the Ranger supports environmental, heritage, and compliance activities across our Mardie Operation.

The Role
This position provides an exciting opportunity to an enthusiastic and committed individual to work alongside our Environmental and Operations teams to learn and gain experience in supporting environmental, heritage, and compliance activities across our Mardie Salt Operation.
Key responsibilities include:
* Assisting with groundwater monitoring and bore testing programs
* Working with Traditional Owners to support culturally respectful land management
* Learning and applying knowledge of native flora and fauna to support conservation and monitoring
* Obtaining a snake handling certification and safely handling native fauna (including reptiles)
* Supporting site inspections, reporting, and accurate environmental record keeping
* Assisting with drone-based environmental monitoring (where required)
* Assisting with site tours, visitor coordination, and new starter inductions
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
* Commitment to participate in a 12 month Ranger program.
* Willingness to learn, follow instructions, and work as part of a team.
* Developing communication and interpersonal skills.
* Current or willing to obtain a Construction Induction (White Card).
* Relevant field or environmental experience (desirable).
The successful candidate will be required to provide a national police clearance that is not older than 6 months. You must have current unrestricted working rights for Australia to be eligible for consideration.
