Role
What's the role?
We are seeking an experienced SHS Manager to join the Qube team at our Port Hedland site, to provide Health & Safety leadership on safety culture, compliance and standards across all site operations.

Specific Responsibilities
* Assist with the coordination of all functional safety issues including risk assessments, systems development and the maintenance of relevant records and reports
* Conduct workplace inspections and audits, implement improvement plans where any gaps are identified
* Lead/participate in incident investigation processes
* Ensure site compliance with all OHS and mining legislation
* Follow the requirements of the SHEMS documentation including Rules, Procedures and Instructions
* Drive culture change from the ground up on operating standards, risk awareness and safety culture
* Initiate and verify solutions and control further processing until deficiencies have been corrected
Qualifications
* Certificate IV in Workplace Health & Safety or relevant university graduate diploma in safety
* Holds a current National Police Clearance
* Strong understanding of WA mining regulations
* Tertiary qualification in a relevant field
* ICAM Investigation qualification and experience
* Strong computer and communication skills
* Adaptability and flexibility essential
* Hands-on approach with coaching/mentoring skills
* Have an ability to work autonomously and within a team environment
