ProBuild Australia, established in 2005 has an outstanding reputation in the insurance property repair industry, specialising in domestic and commercial repairs working alongside many of Australia’s largest Insurers. Due to sustained growth, ProBuild Australia is seeking an experienced Trade / Desktop Claim Manager to join our high-performing team.

About the role

As a Trade / Desktop Claim Manager, you’ll manage a portfolio of insurance building claims from initial allocation through to completion. This role combines technical building knowledge with customer service, coordination, and problem-solving.

You’ll work closely with trades, supervisors, estimators, and insurer partners to ensure each claim is accurately scoped, efficiently delivered, and meets all quality and compliance standards.

If you have a construction background and enjoy coordinating repairs, solving problems, and delivering exceptional customer outcomes — this role is for you.

Key responsibilities of this role include:

- Manage insurance building claims end-to-end via desktop.

- Review scopes, photos, trade quotes, and documentation to confirm repair requirements

- Liaise with homeowners, insurers, assessors, and trades daily

- Resolve onsite issues in collaboration with trades and supervisors

- Maintain accurate claim notes and ensure compliance with insurer guidelines

- Drive strong communication and ensure excellent customer experience

- Achieve cycle time, cost, and quality KPIs

To succeed in this role, you will ideally have:

- Experience in insurance building, construction, carpentry, estimating, or maintenance

- Strong understanding of building methodology and trade sequencing

- Confidence reading scopes, breaking down repairs, and validating quotes

- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

- Strong organisation and the ability to manage multiple claims at once

- Computer literacy and experience using job management systems.

- A proactive, solution-focused approach and commitment to quality work
