Overview
Bibimbiya Jan-ga Buru Healing Space operated by Men's Outreach Service Aboriginal Corporation (MOSAC) trading as Family Outreach Service, in partnership with Anglicare WA and a service alliance involving Nirrumbuk Aboriginal Corporation, Jalygurr Guwan Aboriginal Corporation, Broome CIRCLE and Legal Aid WA.
The Soft Entry space at the Family and Domestic Violence (FDV) Hub offers a welcoming environment where women can participate in art and craft and other activities while engaging in gentle conversation and connection. It focuses on promoting social and emotional wellbeing, healing, and community connection.
Responsibilities
* Assist with setting up and packing down activity materials and the space.
* Support the preparation of healthy morning tea for participants.
* Engage respectfully with participants.
* Contribute to creating a safe, welcoming, and supportive environment for all participants.
* Provide occasional transport support, such as dropping off participants if required.
Important Notice
This role is based within a Family and Domestic Violence service environment. Volunteers may be exposed to conversations, disclosures, or information relating to experiences of family and domestic violence. While volunteers are not expected to provide counselling or casework, they should be prepared to work respectfully within this context and maintain professional boundaries, confidentiality, and cultural sensitivity. Support and guidance will be available from FDV Hub staff.

* Thursday: 9:00 AM – 12:30 PM
* Wednesday: 9:00 AM – 12:30 PM (occasionally)

Support and training will be available from FDV Hub staff.
