About the Role
The City of Wanneroo is seeking a proactive and customer-focused Tree Inspection Officer to join the Parks & Conservation Management team. In this role, you will undertake inspections and condition assessments of the City's trees to ensure they are safe, well‐maintained and managed effectively for the community. You will also supervise arboriculture contractors, respond to customer enquiries and contribute to maintaining the City's urban forest assets to a high standard.
What You'll Be Doing
* Conducting tree safety inspections and condition assessments across the City.
* Identifying hazardous or defective trees and coordinating remedial actions.
* Supervising arboriculture contractors to ensure safe and efficient service delivery.
* Responding to customer requests and stakeholder enquiries professionally and promptly.
* Maintaining accurate records, inspection data and asset information systems.
* Contributing to process improvements and service excellence initiatives.
* Supporting a strong safety culture and ensuring compliance with WHS requirements.
About You
* Qualifications in Arboriculture, Horticulture or extensive experience in a similar role.
* Experience undertaking tree inspections and/or managing arboriculture services.
* Strong customer service and communication skills.
* Sound organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
* Intermediate computer and technology skills.
* Knowledge of workplace safety practices relating to tree services.
* White Card, Provide First Aid Certificate and current C Class Driver's Licence.
