Job Summary
This position works directly under the supervision of the District Business Manager, Australia. The role is a Key Account Specialist that identifies and grows new accounts within a specific geographic region, managing the territory like a business owner, closing deals, and ensuring repeat business.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage established end‐user and channel sales partner relationships.
* Expand sales in existing customers and distribution partners while seeking new customer generation.
* Maintain intense market knowledge of competitors and market gaps.
* Provide technical expertise on products (e.g., product lifecycle obsolescence), customer programs, and cost‐saving initiatives.
* Achieve sales targets and other KPIs as defined by management.
* Visit end users and distribution partners periodically.
* Generate leads through cold calling, networking events, and follow‐ups to close business.
* Continuously improve knowledge of existing and new products and services.
* Perform any other duties as assigned by management.
Knowledge and Experience
* Degree or diploma in mechanical/industrial engineering.
* 10 years of industrial sales experience; experience with metal cutting tools or CNC machines is an advantage.
* Computer literacy in Microsoft Windows/Office.
* Good spoken and written English.
* Excellent presentation and negotiation skills.
* Learning agility and ability to understand technical products, systems, and solutions.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work with various functions.
* Own transport.
* Ability to assess customer needs competently.
