The opportunity

You'll own the client experience at a growing residential mortgage broking business with serious plans ahead. The work is real, the team is calm, and what you do makes a visible difference. You're the person clients deal with day in, day out, and the experience you create shapes how Blok is known in the market. As the business grows, the role grows with it.

The company

WA Financial Solutions is a residential mortgage broking business based in Perth. It's run by Brent Bartelds, a calm, considered broker who thinks carefully, works hard, and looks after his clients exceptionally well. Growth has been steady and well organised, with bigger plans ahead. There's no chaos here. Things get done properly, on time, and clients feel it.

The role

You guide every client from approval through settlement and beyond. You manage the moving parts (banks, settlement agents, clients, documents, deadlines) and keep everything on track. You'll work closely with Brent, manage his inbox, work through the CRM checklists, support the offshore team, and report weekly on what's in flight.

The requirements
* Comfortable with detail and a structured way of working
* Calm, organised, and proactive (you find the work rather than wait for it)
* Strong written and verbal communication, with empathy and clarity
* Minimum 1 year in financial services admin or a closely related industry
* Confident managing several parties and competing deadlines
Skills
* Proficient with MS Outlook
* Familiarity with the Mercury aggregator CRM platform (preferred)
* Understanding of broker portals (preferred)
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Can read and interpret a settlement statement
* Confident across phone and email with both clients and banks
* Strong time management, good at sorting priorities and adapting to last‐minute changes
Experience
* Minimum 1 year in a financial services admin role (or related industry)
* Can manage multiple parties at once
* Can run multiple applications or tasks with overlapping deadlines
* Familiarity with lender portals and contacting banks for settlement updates (preferred)
* Previous PA or small‐team management experience (preferred)
Knowledge
* End‐to‐end application, settlement, and post‐settlement process
* Broker obligations under the NCCP Act (preferred)
* WA‐specific settlement process (preferred)
