What We Do
Ground Handling is the process that ensures an Aircraft's quick and safe turnaround between flights. This includes passenger check in and boarding, to unloading and loading baggage off an aircraft. Our teams work behind the scenes to make air travel possible, delivering exceptional service and operational excellence every day. Your Role
The position available is currently offered on Part Time basis (3-4 days), with opportunity to evolve into Full Time. The role is based in our Devonport Office, alongside our small and supportive finance team. Working days and hours are flexible dependant on applicant and circumstances.
You will support our Company's Finance & Management Accountant, and your role will involve the following responsibilities:
Processing of Bank transactions and reconciliations
Accounts Payable - Supplier invoices
Oversight & Monitoring of Email Account
Accounts Receivable - Airline invoices
Processing & Reconciliation of Manager Credit Card transactions
EOM adjustments & tasks, including Manual Journals
Assist with Financial reviews and reporting, including Profit & Loss analysis
Communications with Suppliers, Airport Managers & our Operations team
Monthly Payroll Tax reporting & Annual Returns
Reconciliation of GST account & preparation of reports for BAS Returns
Providing assistance to our People & Payroll Manager with job coverage of fortnightly Payroll processing
Qualities looking for in Applicants
Strong Attention to Detail and an eye for Accuracy with data entry
Ability to self-review own work
Problem-solving skills
Financial analysis skills
Proactive thinking and willingness to take initiative
Ability to work independently & manage time effectively
Experience in Accounting Software (Xero preferred), and Microsoft Office Suite
Excellent communication skills and willingness to communicate via multiple platforms (i.e. Emails, Phone, Teams Messages)
Applicants with an Accountancy or Business Degree/Diploma are preferred, however not essential to progress through to interview stage if you can demonstrate a willingness to learn and initiative to develop your skills through onsite training and mentoring with our Accountant.
