About This Role
The purpose of the position is to deliver risk management services to Systems Planning and Infrastructure Delivery projects, including implementing risk management strategies and systems to manage risk across the project lifecycle, and to provide risk management advice and assurance.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and embed best‐practice project risk management aligned to organisational frameworks, ensuring consistent application across planning and delivery teams.
* Drive risk identification, assessment and mitigation (qualitative and quantitative) to support informed, unbiased decision‐making.
* Manage project contingency (time and cost), including establishment, tracking and integration with early warnings and project controls.
* Provide expert risk leadership, coaching and training to risk specialists and project teams, promoting a strong risk‐aware culture.
* Oversee risk governance and reporting, including risk registers, audits, dashboards and stakeholder engagement to ensure accurate, timely insights and compliance.
To Thrive In This Role, You'll Bring
* Relevant tertiary qualifications and skilled certifications in risk management and assurance, with strong alignment to recognised industry bodies.
* Proven experience applying project risk management frameworks in large, complex organisations, ideally within infrastructure or major projects.
* Strong analytical, problem‐solving and research capability, including experience assessing and managing complex and ambiguous risks.
* Ability to influence and engage senior stakeholders, supported by excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Demonstrated capability to operate in fast‐paced environments, balancing strategic thinking with practical delivery, while maintaining sound judgement and handling sensitive information.
