About the Role
As the Maintenance Team Leader, you will be responsible for leading and mentoring a team of maintenance professionals and support staff and managing the delivery of statutory, preventative, and corrective maintenance to the facilities. You will manage relationships with external contractors for specialised services and handle resource allocation. You will conduct regular inspections, enforce health and safety protocols and ensure work meets all relevant legislative requirements and standards.
Responsibilities
* Leads and manages the maintenance team, ensures efficient work allocation, and schedules execution of tasks to deliver statutory, preventative & corrective facility maintenance.
* Oversees the maintenance of cleanliness, functionality and orderly presentation of gardens and common areas across Bolton Clarke Aged Care Facility or Retirement Village.
* Conducts regular inspections to oversee the maintenance delivery according to relevant legislative codes and standards such as aged care workplace health and safety, manual handling and environmental management principles.
* Ensures efficient and cost-effective procurement practices, including obtaining quotes, issuing purchase orders, and managing invoice processing to optimise resource allocation.
About You
To be successful in this role, our preferred candidate will have:
* Moderate experience as a Maintenance Officer is preferred.
* Certificate IV in Engineering is prescribed.
* First Aid Certificate is preferred.
* Strong knowledge of Workplace Safety and Health principles, Construction Practices and Legal and Regulatory requirements are preferred.
* Proficient in knowledge of Occupational, Health and Safety Procedures (OHS), Maintenance Equipment Management, Records Management and Materials Management skills.
* Excellent Communication, Operational Effectiveness, Problem Solving and Planning and Prioritisation skills.
