Our services are delivered within our well‐resourced clinics in Elizabeth Downs and Christie Downs, as well as in schools, preschools and homes, and include both individual and group therapy services.
About the Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Speech Pathology Team Leader to join our leadership team. This role is offered as a fixed‐term maternity leave contract for 15 months, with the possibility of the candidate continuing in an alternative client‐facing role within the organisation based on business requirements and performance. The role is ideal for a clinician who enjoys supporting others, sharing knowledge and contributing to the ongoing growth and development of a collaborative clinical team.
The role will be based at our Elizabeth Downs clinic and will suit either:
* An experienced Team Leader seeking a collaborative and well‐supported leadership environment
* A Senior Speech Pathologist ready to transition into a formal leadership role
Responsibilities
* Support junior staff, provide clinical guidance and contribute to a positive and engaging learning environment.
* Supervise student clinical placements and support the professional development of emerging clinicians and the wider clinical team.
* Maintain a varied paediatric caseload and provide high‐quality assessment and intervention across a range of communication presentations, including language, speech, literacy, fluency, AAC and social communication using a neurodiversity‐affirming lens.
* Collaborate with managers, other speech pathology and occupational therapy team leaders and senior clinicians.
Qualifications
* Strong clinical knowledge of paediatric speech and language pathology.
* Experience supervising students or junior clinicians (highly regarded).
* A commitment to delivering evidence‐informed, family‐centred care.
