**Description**:
**Parliamentary Business**
Coordinates parliamentary items between the Department and Ministers' Offices. The team engage with Parliamentary committees to coordinate the Department's involvement in inquiries and provides oversight of related items to ensure they meet the quality and timeliness standard the Ministers, Secretary and CDF require.
In addition, the Parliamentary Business team, supports the Departments' appearance at Senate Estimates by compiling briefs, managing Questions on Notice and supporting witnesses at the hearings.
**Strategic Issues**
**Management** is responsible for the provision of portfolio-support to the Ministers in the Defence portfolio, and strategic planning and reporting to support provision of advice and the preparation of high-level products across the Ministerial and Parliamentary remit.
Strategic Issues Management supports the functional running of the ministerial offices in Parliament House and across Australia.
**Duties**
- Provide quality assurance of Ministerial products, including but not limited to, Ministerial Submissions, Senate Estimates Briefs, Cabinet Submissions, and Question Time Briefs
- Coordinate input from various stakeholders across the Department, Portfolio and where required, across Government
- Provide support to the Minister's Offices
- Pack building for Senate Estimates, delivery of Ministerial products to departmental executives and the Minister's offices
