We are seeking a skilled Sous Chef to join our Food & Beverage department. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of our kitchens, ensuring that we deliver exceptional cuisine and service to our guests.
Key Responsibilities
1. Spearhead kitchen operations during preparation and service, maintaining high standards of efficiency and focus
2. Mentor and train kitchen staff members, fostering a culture of professionalism and accountability
3. Support kitchen operations including inventory management, rostering, and payroll processes
4. Collaborate with the Executive Chef on menu development and specials, driving innovation and excellence
5. Maintain a high standard in food safety and compliance, adhering to industry regulations and best practices
Requirements
* Prior experience as a Sous Chef or Chef de Partie within a 4-5 star establishment is highly regarded
* A creative flair and solid understanding of menu development, with a passion for delivering distinctive dining experiences
* Strong attention to detail in all aspects of kitchen operations, with excellent time management and organizational skills
* Outstanding leadership and teamwork capabilities, with a proactive and self-motivated approach to work
* Superior verbal and written communication skills, with practical knowledge of HACCP procedures and food safety standards
* Experience with rostering, ordering, and payroll processes is highly valued
* Availability to work across a rotating roster, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays
