As our Mildura Home Care program continues to grow, we're looking for compassionate, reliable, and community-minded individuals to join our supportive team, servicing Ouyen and surrounding communities.
We are currently recruiting for the following part-time roles:
- Home Care Worker (relevant qualifications required)
- Home Care Domestic Support (no formal qualifications required)
These roles offer meaningful work and the chance to make a genuine difference in the lives of older people by delivering care with empathy, respect, and a strong person-centred approach.
Key Responsibilities
Home Care Domestic Support
In this role, you'll travel between clients' homes to provide practical, personalised support tailored to each person's needs.
Duties may include:
- General household tasks: vacuuming, mopping, laundry, and tidying
- Preparing light meals and assisting with shopping
- Maintaining hygiene in kitchens, bathrooms, and shared areas
- Providing social support or transport to appointments and community activities
- Monitoring client wellbeing and reporting concerns
- Supporting clients in line with their individual preferences, cultural background, and values
- Ensuring the home environment is clean, safe, and comfortable
Home Care Worker
This qualified role includes all of the above, plus:
- Assisting with personal care such as showering, grooming, and mobility support

What We're Looking For
We're seeking individuals who are passionate about supporting older people to live independently at home. You'll have a caring, empathetic nature and a genuine commitment to building respectful relationships with clients and their families.
You will need:
- Daytime availability across at least three weekdays
- Excellent organisational skills and a focus on safe, clean environments
- A strong understanding of person-centred and community-based care
- The ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team
- A shared commitment to our values and the BEST philosophy – Believe, Excel, Support, Trust
Mandatory Requirements
Applicants must have or be willing to obtain the following:
- For Home Care Worker roles:
Certificate III or IV in Individual Support (or equivalent qualification, including current nursing students)
- A valid Australian driver's licence and a reliable, insured vehicle
- Current First Aid and CPR certifications
- Working with Children Check (Employee)
- National Police Check or NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Up-to-date vaccinations in accordance with Uniting AgeWell policy
- Full Australian working rights
