Ultimo, Sydney location Develop and deliver groundbreaking investigations Permanent full-time role Salary commensurate with experience The Role The ABC Investigations unit is looking for an experienced senior Investigative Reporter who can develop and deliver groundbreaking investigations of national significance on a wide range of subjects across all ABC platforms. This role is based in our Ultimo, Sydney office within a dedicated, passionate and award-winning team. The Job Conduct in-depth investigations across all media platforms Develop digital-first investigative stories for the ABC News website and app. Create quick-turnaround investigative stories for breaking news. Develop and report investigative stories for key programs including 4 Corners, 7.30 and Background Briefing. Collaborate with colleagues and generate diverse stories reflecting Australia's landscape. Position Description: 50041688 INVESTIGATIVE REPORTER About You We are seeking a creative self-starter with significant experience as an Investigative Reporter in a broadcast or digital environment with a list of sources and contacts to match, including in areas such as politics, law enforcement and business. You will have considerable experience breaking exclusive stories that have state-wide and national impact. You work well individually and collaborating in a team environment. You also have: Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience. Extensive senior reporting experience with strong research and editorial skills. Proven track record of breaking impactful stories and strong presentation skills. Deep understanding of the digital news environment and cross-platform filing.
