HammondCare Daw Park is currently looking for Permanent Part‑time Specialised Carers – Dementia Care to join our team.
Please note: Only apply if available for the following rosters. Rosters available may not suit student visa due to hour restrictions. Unlimited work rights will be highly regarded.
Rosters Available
* 46‑hour fortnight: Week 1 − 14:30‑20:00 Mon‑Thursday; Week 2 − 14:30‑20:00 Tue‑Thurs, 6:45‑14:45 Friday
* 56‑hour fortnight: Week 1 & Week 2 − 6:45‑14:45 Tue‑Thurs; 14:30‑20:00 Friday
You Will Be Responsible For
* Personal care – showering, grooming, toileting, etc.
* Provide life‑engagement activities.
* Support residents with varying levels of dementia.
* Recognise, report and respond appropriately to changes in residents' conditions within your skills and competencies.
To Be Successful In This Role
* Have a genuine passion for serving elderly people and want to make a difference in their lives.
* Be flexible and able to commit to a range of shifts including nights and weekends.
* Value teamwork but also be able to work independently and show initiative.
* Have knowledge and experience of people living with dementia and their needs.
* Applicants with Cert III or Cert IV in Aged Care will be viewed favourably.
