106 Army Cadet Unit (Caloundra) is a community-based youth development organisation operating as part of the Australian Army Cadets program.
We are seeking community-minded adults to volunteer as Defence Approved Helpers (DAH), supporting young people aged 1317 through a structured program focused on leadership, teamwork, resilience, confidence, and community service.
Key duties include:
- Supporting trained Army Cadet Staff during weekly parade nights
- Assisting with outdoor, leadership, and team-based activities
- Supervising and mentoring cadets under direction
-Supporting community and commemorative events
-Assisting with general activity preparation and pack-up
Skills and experience:
- An interest in youth development and mentoring
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Reliability and a positive attitude
- No military experience required

Approximately 23 hours per week during school terms, primarily on Thbursday evenings, with occasional weekend activities (field training, camps, or community events). Volunteer participation is flexible and can be adjusted based on availability.
