About the role
As a Site Engineer at Formcom, you'll play a crucial role in the successful delivery of complex construction projects across South East Queensland. This is a full-time position based in Surfers Paradise, with opportunities for site visits and collaboration with our project teams.
What you'll be doing
* Providing engineering support and technical expertise to our construction teams, ensuring the safe and efficient installation of formwork systems
* Preparing and reviewing formwork design drawings, calculations, and other technical documentation
* Coordinating with project managers, contractors, and suppliers to resolve any formwork-related issues that arise on site
* Conducting regular site inspections to monitor the quality and progress of formwork installation
* Providing training and mentorship to junior engineers and construction personnel
* Collaborating with the wider engineering and construction teams to identify opportunities for process improvements and innovation
What we're looking for
* A Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
* At least 5 years of experience as a Site Engineer or Formwork Specialist in the construction industry
* Proficiency in the design, detailing, and implementation of formwork systems
* Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
* Familiarity with relevant building codes, standards, and regulations
* Demonstrated commitment to workplace health and safety
