About the Position
This temporary position will provide an administration role in the design, development and maintenance of an appropriate network architecture to support the City's operations. It has responsibility for providing a robust, reliable and secure technology platform that encourages innovative technology solutions - whilst enabling efficient service delivery and effective support.
As part of the Information Systems team, the position works collaboratively to deliver the outcomes identified in the City's Information Systems Strategic Plan through research, expert technical contribution and professional, customer‑focussed technology support.
Responsibilities
To be successful in this role, you will be expected to :
Process and resolve escalated tickets from the IT ServiceDesk team.
Management and support (including health monitoring) of the server, network, and security infrastructure.
Patch server, network and security infrastructure as required (Patching of the infrastructure is estimated to 60% after hours patching and 40% during business hours patching).
Review vulnerability reports and security alerts and action accordingly.
Regular review and collection of supporting information for Security Audits.
Continually protecting the City from Cyber Security attacks, externally and internally as new systems and technology get implemented, and AI as it grows as a resource and a risk.
Manage the design, implementation, and migration to the a wireless infrastructure for internal staff only.
Manage the design, implementation and migration to a new Server / SAN infrastructure.
