We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Financial Accountant to take ownership of the financial accounting for our WA operations. This is a key role within the Finance team, partnering closely with the WA business and senior stakeholders to deliver high-quality financial reporting, analysis, and insights that support sound commercial decision-making.
Reporting to the Finance Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in month-end delivery, joint venture reporting, and continuous process improvement across a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
This is a full-time role based in Alexandria with Flexible work arrangements – (currently working from the office a minimum of 3 days per week).
Responsibilities
* Own end-to-end financial accounting for WA operations
* Deliver month-end accounting within set deadlines
* Prepare and reconcile balance sheet accounts monthly
* Analyse and explain variances to budget, forecast, and prior periods
* Present WA financial results to the Senior Finance team
* Calculate and manage doctor remuneration in line with contractual arrangements (employee and contractor doctors)
* Liaise with JV partners across two WA Joint Ventures
* Prepare quarterly finance packs for WA Joint Venture board meetings
* Support monthly reporting, budgeting, and forecasting activities
* Partner with key WA stakeholders to stay across operational and financial developments
* Identify and implement process improvements to drive efficiency and enhance insights
* Assist with the annual audit process
* Contribute to ad-hoc projects as required
Qualifications
* Strong technical capability in financial accounting and reporting
* Advanced Excel skills
* Ability to quickly grasp complex financial and operational concepts
* Confident communicator with strong written and verbal skills
* Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
* Proven ability to build strong stakeholder relationships
