The role of physiotherapist is a vital one in supporting students with disabilities in their school experience. Over 120 professionals are employed to deliver physiotherapy services, utilizing contemporary knowledge and skills to enable students to participate fully in all aspects of school life.
Duties
* Enable students to achieve their full potential through evidence-based practice and assessment strategies.
* Collaborate with school leaders, teachers, and other service providers to develop and implement comprehensive physiotherapy programs.
* Develop, implement, and evaluate best-practice assessment and intervention strategies for students with diverse needs.
* Provide consultative services and resources to support school staff, parents, and peers in enhancing physiotherapy practices.
* Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and research activities that enhance the delivery of physiotherapy services in schools.
Essential Qualifications
* Possession of a degree in physiotherapy from an accredited institution or equivalent formal qualifications.
* Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
* Citizenship, residency, or visa requirements applicable to working in Australia.
