They work with peers on teams dedicated to areas of the product.
They work together with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to solve common goals.
They will work across the backend (NodeJs), and frontend (React.js, TypeScript) parts of our application.Unless otherwise specified, all Tech Lead roles at Repeat share the following requirements and responsibilities.RequirementsProfessional experience with React or another modern JavaScript web framework (Vue, Angular, Ember, etc)Professional experience working with TypeScript, NodeJS, SQL (MySQL or PostgreSQL), MongoDB and KafkaStrong grasp of event driven architecture and event modellingProficiency using Git in a professional/workplace environmentProficiency in the English language, both written and verbal, sufficient for success in a remote and largely asynchronous work environmentDemonstrated capacity to clearly and concisely communicate about complex technical, architectural, and/or organizational problems and propose thorough iterative solutionsExperience with performance and optimization problems and a demonstrated ability to both diagnose and prevent these problemsComfort working in a highly agile, intensely iterative software development process.Self-motivated and self-managing, with strong organizational skillsDemonstrated ability to onboard and integrate with an organization long-termPositive and solution-oriented mindsetEffective communication skills, with the ability to achieve consensus with peers and provide clear status updates, and an inclination towards inclusionShare our values, and work in accordance with those valuesMust be based in BrisbaneNice to haveExperience with architectural frameworks such as TOGAF, Zachman.Experience in a peak performance organization, preferably a tech startupExperience with the competitive video games such as Fortnite, Dota 2, League of Legends, Rocket League etcProduct or Enterprise software company experienceDeveloper platform/tool industry experienceExperience working with a global or multicultural teamExperience contributing to open-source softwareResponsibilitiesDesigns and documents solutions to complex problems that meet product requirements and technical roadmaps.Proactively identifies opportunities to reuse or generalise existing services and product features.
